Copyright & DMCA Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
The Collective Dance Agency LLC, doing business as The Collective Dance Agency ("CDA"), respects the creative work of dancers, choreographers, musicians and all artists. Choreography, class content and recordings are creative work, and we expect everyone on CDA to respect them.
1. Reporting infringement (takedown notice)
If you believe content on CDA infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent with:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work (or, for several works, a representative list).
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, and enough information to locate it (for example, the page URL).
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Designated Agent: Legal Department, The Collective Dance Agency LLC, c/o Registered Agents Inc., 8401 Mayland Dr, Ste S, Richmond, VA 23294 · legal@thecollectivedanceagency.com
Incomplete notices may not be acted on; we'll tell you what's missing. Knowingly false claims can create liability.
2. What we do
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the material and notify the person who posted it, with a copy of the notice.
3. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, send our Designated Agent:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district where CDA may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
We'll forward the counter-notice to the original claimant. Unless they tell us they've filed a court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
4. Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
5. Music and other rights
Creators and members who upload content must have the rights to everything in it, including music (licensed or royalty-free) and the permission of anyone who appears. We may remove content that appears to lack these rights.
